TRAIL SYSTEM / Rutas y recorridos alrededor


Trail system
More than 20 km of trails and diverse circuits have been opened up:

Rutas y recorridos desde el Albergue 
Se han abierto más de 20 km de senderos y diversos circuitos:

- Dos Collares (2 hours)
- Las Parabas (2 ½ hours)
- Mapajo (1 hour)
- Cachichira (3 hours)
- Escabeche (circuit of 2 trails, 2 hours each)
- Quiquibey and Beni Rivers (Day and Night Trips)
 

PROGRAM I - EXPEDITION ALONG THE QUIQUIBEY AREA (6D/5N)
DAY 1.
  • Welcome at the airport of Rurrenabaque.
  • The boat trip to Mapajo Ecolodge. The 3 hours boat upstream on the Beni River (the main and most important river of the area) with passing through the mighty BALA CANYON and then entering into the Quiquieby river and Pilon Lajas Biosphere Reserve, boarding Madidi National Park.
  • Arrival to the indigenous community of Asunción del Quiquibey. Meeting with the members of the community.
  • Entering to the MAPAJO ECOLODGE and setting in the cabins/cabanas
  • Lunch.
  • Trekking along the DOS COLLARES TRAIL. Observation of the wildlife of the rain forest
  • Presentation of the original handicrafts by the members of the community and hands-on experience of the handicraft making.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 2.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region)
  • Trekking along the MAPAJO TRAIL into the jungle. Observation of the wildlife and the biggest trees of the rain forest, well known as Mapajos.
  • Lunch based on traditional food.
  • Visiting the Community Asunción del Quiquibey. Presentation on the indigenous Moseten and Tsimane cultures of the members of the community.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 3.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region)
  • A Boat trip upstream on the Quiquibey river, the main and most beautiful river of the Pilon Lajas Biosphere Reserve.
  • Lunch on the beach.
  • Arrival to the indigenous community of San Luis Chico. Presentation on the indigenous Moseten and Tsimane cultures of the members of the community
  • Entering to the CHONTAL, rustic lodge and setting in the camp accommodation
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature
  • Night walk in the forest.

DAY 4.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region)
  • Trekking along the CHONTAL TRAIL into the jungle. Observation of the wildlife of the rain forest.
  • Lunch
  • Hands-on experience of the native fishing at the San Luis Chico Lake
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 5
  • Breakfast
  • Boat trip downstream visiting the people and comnnunities (Quiquibey river-based communities)
  • Lunch at the beach. Trekking along the MACAW TRAIL. Culminating point as the trail enters to the area of the observation of these magnificent birds. Definitely at once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Evening activities of watching the wildlife (including crepuscular and nocturnal species) of the Quiquibey River and its shores.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 6
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region)
  • Walk through the CHACOS (traditional agriculture work field) fo the Asunción del Quiquibey Community and Good Bye with the community members playing traditional music of the ancient people of the river
  • Lunch
  • A boat trip back to Rurrenabaque.

PROGRAM II - TREKKS ALONG THE BANK OF THE RIVER TO REACH THE MOUNTAIN RANGE (5D/4N)

DAY 1.
  • Welcome at the airport of Rurrenabaque.
  • The boat trip to Mapajo Ecolodge. The 3 hours boat upstream on the Beni River (the main and most important river of the area) with passing through the mighty BALA CANYON and then entering into the Quiquieby river and Pilon Lajas Biosphere Reserve, boarding Madidi National Park.
  • Arrival to the indigenous community of Asunción del Quiquibey. Meeting with the members of the community.
  • Entering to the MAPAJO ECOLODGE and setting in the cabins/cabanas
  • Lunch.
  • Trekking along the MAPAJO TRAIL into the jungle. Observation of the wildlife and the biggest trees of the rain forest, well known as Mapajos.
  • Presentation of the original handicrafts by the members of the community and hands on experience of the handicraft making
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 2.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • A boat trip on the Quiquibey and Beni river.
  • Arrival to the SUAPI CAMP, rustic lodge and setting in the camp accommodation
  • Lunch on the beach.
  • A boat trip on the BEO CANYON to enjoy the magnificent BEO Mountain range.
  • Return to the Suapi Camp.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.

DAY 3.
  • Trekking along the SALITRAL TRAIL, very close to the bank of the river. Observation of the wildlife of the rain forest.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • Trekking to the MIRADOR SUAPI (gazer). Observation of the mountain  range and rain forest.
  • Hands-on experience of the native fishing at the Suapi River.
  • Lunch on the beach.
  • Trekking along the ESCABECHE TRAIL. Observation of the wildlife of the rain forest.
  • Return to the Mapajo Ecolodge.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
DAY 4.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • Visiting the Community of the Asunción del Quiquibey. Presentation on the indigenous Moseten and Tsimane cultures of the members of the community.
  • Lunch.

  • Trekking along the MACAW TRAIL. Culminating point as the trail enters to the area of the observation of these magnificent birds. Definitely at once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Evening activities of watching the wildlife (including crepuscular and nocturnal species) of the Quiquibey River and its shores.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.

DAY 3.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • Ride on rustic log raft from ROSARIO River to the Mapajo Ecolodge. Swimming in the river
  • Lunch.
  • Visiting the Community of the Asunción del Quiquibey. Presentation on the indigenous Moseten and Tsimane cultures of the members of the community.
  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.
  • Traditional music of the ancient people of the Quiquibey River (Evening activity of cultural exchange).



DAY 4
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • Walk through the CHACOS (traditional agriculture work field) of the Asunción del Quiquibey Community and Good Bye with the community member.
  • Lunch.
  • A boat trip back to Rurrenabaque.

PROGRAM IV - MEETING WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE JUNGLE (3D/2N)

DAY 1.
  • Welcome at the airport of Rurrenabaque.
  • The boat trip to Mapajo Ecolodge. The 3 hours boat upstream on the Beni River (the main and most important river of the area) with passing through the mighty BALA CANYON and then entering into the Quiquibey river and Pilon Lajas Biosphere Reserve, boarding Madidi National Park.
  • Arrival to the indigenous community of Asunción del Quiquibey. Meeting with the members of the community.

  • Lit dinner with many candles and surrounded by nature.

DAY 3.
  • Breakfast (fresh fruit and meal from the region).
  • Visiting the Community of the Asunción del Quiquibey. Presentation on the indigenous Moseten and Tsimane cultures of the members of the community.
  • Good Bye with the community members of the Community.
  • Lunch.
  • A boat trip back to Rurrenabaque.

Estimados estoy cotizando tour de 3d/2n con fecha 19 de junio (am) al 21 de junio (para volar ese 21 en la tarde) somos 2 personas y queríamos saber el precio y el detalle del toour, además de saber si nos pueden ayudar con la compra de pasajes aereos desde La Paz (ida 18 junio am, vuelta 21 en la tarde) Gracias, saludos
